Math and Science Night at McIntire Elementary School

McIntire Elementary welcomed parents and loved ones of students to its math and science night on Nov. 20. Students showed off their experiments and learned from professionals who use math and science in their fields. McIntire principal Beth Houf said the school has held math nights for family members to see what their children are learning, but because of a new science curriculum, the school's curriculum committee watned to include science for the first time. The new science curriculum, she said, is more hands-on and gives the students more chances to experiment.
