Devon Jackson, 10, points out facts about the Shoshone tribe inside South Callaway Elementary School on Friday during the fourth-grade presentations on Native American history. Jackson said his favorite aspect of the Shoshone tribe is its spiritual beliefs. “Every morning many of the Shoshones will face the east and will sing a song to Duma Appah also known as ‘Our father,’ also known as The Creator,” Jackson said.
