Larry Underwood, senior vice commander of Fulton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2657, left, and Callaway County Western District Commissioner Doc Kritzer check the restored Vietnam Memorial inside the Callaway County Courthouse. The new large plaque includes the names of 55 more Callaway County residents who served in Vietnam that were not included when the original memorial was dedicated in the early 1980s. A total of 252 Callaway County residents served in Vietnam and 11 were killed in combat.

Through a joint effort by the Fulton Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Callaway County Commission, the Vietnam War Memorial has been updated with more names of Callaway County residents who fought in the war.
