C.J. Cornelius cuts a stocking pattern Saturday in Jefferson City. Missouri River Quilt Guild members made stockings and were available for demonstrations at the Coca-Cola Bottling company’s community building on Saturday. The guild will donate stockings to organizations like Fulton-based SERVE, Inc.

Quilting group asks community to help sew stockings for local charities
The Jefferson City-based Missouri River Quilt Guild is used to giving back to the community. Many of the group’s 120 members contribute to the guild’s various ongoing service projects, such as making quilts for Habitat For Humanity or lap blankets for elderly veterans going on the Honor Flight or receiving care in the VA Hospital.
