Jamie Coe checks a 25-foot Norway spruce tree that died this summer on his Christmas tree farm during a prolonged drought. A combination of approaching retirement and the drought forced Coe to close his Christmas tree farm south of Fulton. He said trees not native to this area were damaged more during the drought.
