Whitney (left) and Linda Davis volunteered as part of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s project to build seven houses in seven days in Joplin. The Davises worked Thursday night to assist builders on the houses and also on construction of a new park.

When the cast and crew of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition descended upon Joplin this past week to start the popular television show’s project to build seven houses in seven days in the tornado-ravaged community, they found thousands of volunteers ready and waiting to assist.
