Contributed photo: The Fulton Lady Hornets soccer team swept its three opponents in round-robin play to win its division of the Lady Spartan Invitational at Moberly last Saturday. Fulton (11-2) started tournament play with a 2-0 victory over Winfield last Friday, followed by a 5-1 triumph over Southern Boone on Saturday morning. The Lady Hornets then capped off their tournament title with a 1-0 win over rival Mexico on Saturday afternoon.

Hornets smother Kirksville behind big fourth inning
Senior third baseman Joel Matthews and junior left fielder Jake Abbott both had two-run singles to fuel a six-run fourth inning Wednesday night, helping direct the Fulton Hornets to a 7-0 NCMC victory over Kirksville.
