James "J.L." Deloney

James L. "J.L" Deloney, 86, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013, at Fulton Manor Care Center.
He was born August 31, 1926, in Silex, Mo., the son of the late Lenny and Rose Anner (York) Deloney.
On February 2, 1957, he was united in marriage to Berneice (Gallop) Deloney who preceded him in death.
On July 27, 1996, he was united in marriage to Mary (Stratton) Dunavant-Deloney who survives at their home.
He served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Sigsbee in the Pacific from 1944-1946, worked for Harbison Walker for many years and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, I.O.O.F., VFW Post 2657 and the American Legion.
J.L. will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife; one son, Dwayne Deloney (Sherri) of Hannibal; one daughter, Linda Lechner (Stan) of Willard; one step-son, Scott Dunavant (Stacey) of Rogersville; one step-daughter Suzanne Guerrant (David) of Fulton; 12 grandchildren, Nick, Alisa and Logan Lechner, Ryan and Rachel Deloney, Justin and Caitlyn Guerrant, Sydney and Shayley Dunavant, Donna Winters, Debbie Clubb, Delores Fox; several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Deloney; one brother, Bennie Deloney; three sisters, Myrtle Phillips, Georgia Wolfmeier and Mary Shiverdecker.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Southside Baptist Church in Fulton, Missouri, with Rev Guy O. Thomas officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday February 4, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri with I.O.O.F service at 6:45 p.m.
Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
