Twyla Delores Blakley, 90, of Fulton, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at the Fulton Presbyterian Manor. She was born March 13, 1922, in Luverne, Iowa, the daughter of the late William G. Bommel and the late Vera M. (Gaster) Bommel. On January 14, 1940, she was united in marriage to Floyd L. Blakley, who preceded her in death on October 25, 1991. Twyla will be sadley missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Gary Blakley and wife Patsy of Fulton; one grandson, Terry Blakley and wife Cathy of Sante Fe, Mo.; and two step-grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda Jennings. In addition to her parents and husband, Twyla was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Yancey, and one brother, Russell Bommel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Monday also at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
