Mildred E (Moore) Wales

June 11, 1925 - July 14, 2012

Mildred E. (Moore) Wales, 87, of Nevada, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1925, in Passaic, to Grover and Bessie Mae (Durbin) Moore. She attended school in Foster. She worked many jobs before her 25 year career at Nevada State Hospital, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Fairview Community Church and the Church of Christ in Nevada. She volunteered at Community Outreach, and Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, and was active in the American Legion Post #2. She was a generous person, supporting many charities including the American Diabetes Association and the Disabled Veterans. Her pride and joy was having family and friends around her. She loved baking and collecting dolls. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles E. Wales; three sons, Roger, Richard, and Rodney Schnedler; three brothers, Harold, Fred, and Grover Moore; and two sisters, Rannie Cummings, and Minni Luety. She will be greatly missed by: her children, Daniel Moore of Kansas City, Cheryl Lorenz of Fulton, Connie Martin of Columbia, Sandra Pippin, Robert Schnedler and his wife Linda, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Schnedler, all of Nevada; two step-daughters, Jackie Nichols and her husband Shawn of Fortuna, Calif., and Judy Nichols and her husband Darrell of Humansville; and one sister, Barbara Bryant of Deer Park, Texas. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, with Brother Burt Travis officiating. Interment will follow at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
