1944 - 2011
Lillian Marie Scoggins, 67, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011, in Auburn, Nebraska.
She was born April 21, 1944, in Portland, Mo., the daughter of the late James Rudolph and Anna (Bucholz) Atterberry.
Lill had been married to Frank Scoggins and they had three sons.
She had a special friend in the last years of her life, Ray Caspers of Auburn, Nebraska.
Ms. Scoggins enjoyed going to yard sales, auctions, flea markets, baking wedding cakes, sewing, and planting flowers. Lillian worked many years for Westminster College. She was a member of the Local Union 662 and worked many Nuclear Plant outages. Lillian always put everyone before herself, and she always had a way to make everyone feel they were the special one.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sons, Dean Scoggins (Donna), Terry Scoggins (Lynn), and Leroy Scoggins (Crystal) all of Fulton; 11 grandchildren, Doug Scoggins (Carrie), Terry Scoggins Jr. (Kristina), Jamie Reynolds (David) all of Platte City, Mo., Robert Harrison, Bryan Scoggins, Blake Scoggins, Cassie Scoggins, Whitleigh Scoggins, Ryan Scoggins, William Scoggins, Maranda Scoggins all of Fulton, and seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, James Atterberry (Nita), Bill Atterberry (Wanda), Lynn Atterberry, and John Atterberry (Peggy); three sisters, Karen Lathrop (Mike), Mary Belilse (Scott), Debi Valdez (Tim) all of Fulton; Ray’s children, Lee Caspers of Omaha, Neb., Jeff (Sue) Caspers, Auburn, Neb., and Diane (Rob) Price of Humbolt, Neb.; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Leon Atterberry, Larry Atterberry, and David Atterberry.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo., with the Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.
Interment will be held at the Atterberry/Benskin Cemetery in Readsville, Mo.
