Earl James Blansett, 73, of Fulton, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at his home. He was born on October 4, 1938, in Fulton, the son of the late Finis Bill and Ethel Linda (Hull) Blansett.
On June 2, 1964, he was united in marriage to Sally (Miller) Blansett, who survives his passing.
Mr. Blansett attended Fulton High School and Mexico Military Academy, He served our country in the United States Marine Corp and the 175th Police Military Battalion.
Earl worked for the Department of Corrections and owned Blansett Trucking as well as Potawatomi
Campgrounds. He was also an active member of the Potawatomi Tribe of
In addition to his wife of 47 years, Mr. Blansett is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Lee Blansett and partner Chuck Bentley of Fulton; one son, Victor James Blansett of Fulton; and one granddaughter, Sarina Marie Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William E. Blansett and Howard L. Blansett; one sister, Florence Caroline Giboney; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the
service at Maupin Funeral Home. In lieu of interment, it was Mr. Blansett's wishes
to be cremated.
