James O'Neal Henderson, age 75, of Kodak, Tenn., passed away Monday, May 2, 2011, at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital, Select Services, after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 26, 1935, in Fulton, Missouri and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fulton. Mr. Henderson was employed for many years as a movie operator and then managed the Forum Theater in Columbia, Mo. for several years. He later worked 16 years for the City of Columbia before retiring and moving to Kodak. His love for motorcycling provided him many hours of enjoyment as did traveling and camping with his wife of 48 years. He was a NASCAR fan and attended a number of races. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Henderson; his brother, Morris Henderson (Bobbi) of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five children; Kelly Gossett (Shawn) of Springfield, Mo.; Darrel Henderson, of Boonville, Mo.; Tracy Green (Kevin) of Austin, Texas; Vicki King (Don) of New Bloomfield, Mo.; and Lee Horine of Fulton, Mo. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Henderson and mother, Merle O'Neal Henderson, and his grandson, Cody Horine. Cremation arrangements were made by Atchley Funeral Home of Sevierville, Tenn. and no services are planned at this time.
