Erma Audrey Gard, 63, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011, at her home. She was born July 2, 1947, in Fulton, the daughter of the late Aubrey and Erma Kathryn (Masek) Twitchell. On November 29, 1997, she was united in marriage to Bill Gard, who survives at their home. Erma worked in retail. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed making flower arrangements, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Cindy Harris of Fulton, Julie Harris-Whalen and her husband, Mark, of Holts Summit and Charlotte Hicks and her husband, Steve, of Fulton; one stepson, Charlie Gard and his wife, Rosie, of Columbia; one step-daughter, Cheryl Gilleland of Columbia; four grandchildren, Jared (Jessica) Harris, Shane Whalen, Drake Oetting and Shaylee Hicks; one great- grandchild, Terra Headley; four step-grandchildren, Kyle Gilleland, Amber Gard, Emily Rodenbaugh and Danielle Gard; one brother, Larry (Carolyn) Twitchell of New Florence; two sisters, Mae King and her husband, Jerry, of Fulton and Barbara Turner of Fulton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Michael Gilmore. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Carrington Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will follow in Carrington Cemetery. A celebration of life dinner will be held at the church following the service.
