James Otis Harrison

July 6, 1941 - July 8, 2011

James Otis Harrison, 70, of Columbia, died July 8, 2011, at University of Missouri Hospital. Mr. Harrison was born on July 6, 1941, in Fulton, to Otis Harrison and Melba (Craighead) Harrison. Jim was a retired postal carrier with the United States Postal Service. He was a proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Elijah Gates Camp No. 570. He was a member of the Hallsville Baptist Church. Mr. Harrison will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Melba Harrison; one son, James Todd Harrison; three daughters, Gigi Harrison, Nicole Harrison and Gabrielle Harrison; one granddaughter, Cassie Nichols. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Harrison Friends will be received from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the Millard Family Funeral Home.
