Charles A. Seale

Charles A. Seale, 86, of Auxvasse, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Churchill Terrace in Fulton. Charles was born August 11, 1932 in Martinsburg, the son of the late Charles N. Seale and Nellie (Wilburn) Seale. On May 18, 1957, he was united in marriage to Mary Jean Haubner. He was an Air Force Korean Veteran, serving from August 6, 1952, to August 6, 1956. He spent one of his four years in Narsarssuak Air Force Base in Greenland. Charles worked 24 years for MoDot at the Auxvasse State Shed. One of his favorite pastimes was attending Bluegrass events with his wife, Mary Jean. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Jean of Auxvasse; one daughter, Marla (Glen) Winter of Middletown; two grandsons, Ryan (Ashley) Winter and Aaron (Samantha) Winter; and six great-grandchildren, Zoie, Matthew, Adam, Logan, Nora and Christian. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold; and twin sisters, Irene Cornelius and Inez Strickland. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Auxvasse Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to American Lung Association, Hospice Compassus or the Honor Flight.
