James Nathan Hulett, 67, of Steedman, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019. He was born on November 16, 1951 in Moberly, Missouri, the son of the late Reverend Guy Hulett and Julia Marie (Laube) Hulett. On February 22, 1974, Jim was united in marriage to Janet Lynn (Patterson) Hulett, who survives his passing. James worked for the Callaway County Sheriff's Department until his retirement as a Sergeant/Investigator. He was a member of Church of God (Holiness). He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and watching their sporting events. James will be fondly remembered by his wife of 45 years; daughters, Jama Fann (Danny), Jennifer Hulett, and Julia Torufa (Ed), all of Steedman; sister, Nina Baker of Covington, Tenn.; grandchildren, Alanya Lawson, Nicole Waggoner (Chris), Elizabeth Fann (Andrew), and Kayleigh Torufa; great-grandchildren, Blake Waggoner, and Alaya Lawson; niece, Lisa Baker-Kail (Mac); and great-nephew, Jared Baker. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Church of God (Holiness) in Fulton with Reverend Travis Sayler and Reverend Dean Greenwood officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to Maupin Funeral Home to establish the Hulett Family Cemetery, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
