James Lewis Craighead, 63, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. James was born on October 21, 1955 in Fulton to the late George and Juanita Spillars Craighead. He was a graduate of Fulton High School and then he graduated as a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity in 1974 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Westminister College. He was known for his real estate ownership and property management in the Fulton and Jefferson City area. James was a handyman who could work on most anything and he enjoyed hunting, gardening, mushroom hunting, taking care of his dogs, and participating in poker runs on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He is survived by his sons, James Lewis Craighead III and Joseph Alexander Craighead; longtime companion, Debbie Littrell; brothers, Michael Craighead, David Craighead and Daniel Schmer; sisters, Janet Craighead Rice, Georgia Craighead West and Karen Elliott; two grandchildren; and uncle and aunt, Bill and Alice Craighead of Fulton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
