Allen Dale Davison III, 42, of Fulton, Mo., formerly of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away at Friday, March 22, 2019 at his residence. Allen was born on May 8, 1976 in Du Quoin, Ill. to Allen D. and Delores Davison Jr. In 1994, Allen graduated from Du Quoin High School. During his free time Allen liked to fish with his family, hang out with his friends, and when he was in college he enjoyed archeology and going on archeological digs. In July 1997, he joined the Navy. He attended boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Station. Then he attended Power School at NNPTC in Goose Creek, S.C. and Prototype at NNPTC in Ballston, Spa, N.Y. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan for four years. During this time, he experienced the commissioning of the ship and was able to travel around the tip of South America, crossing the equator. In December 2007, he graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute located in Troy, N.Y. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering Engineering Physics. In November 2008, he was a hired as a Senior Reactor Operator for the Operation Department at the Callaway Energy Plant, located in Portland, Mo. His most recent position was Initial License Training Coach. Allen married Kara Morgenstern in September of 2001 and they had three children. Allen was a loving husband and father and always wanted the best for his kids. He lived in Fulton, Mo. for the past 10 years. He was an avid Star Wars fan and he enjoyed spending time gardening, woodworking, and watching his kids do jiu-jitsu. He was faithful member of First Baptist Church in Fulton. Allen is survived by his wife: Kara (Morgenstern) Davison; children: Jayna, Shawna, and Kyle Davison; parents: Allen D. and Delores Davison Jr.; brother: Thomas Davison; and grandma: Elsie Depue. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Allen D. and Elizabeth Davison Sr., and Thompson H. Depue Sr. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Fulton, Mo. with visitation from 4:00-6:00 p.m. A service will also be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Church in Du Quoin, Ill., with Pastor Brad Kerr officiating. There will also be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church on Wednesday. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion and the United States Navy. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, Ill. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Kara Davison and sent to First Baptist Church Fulton, 701 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
