Alicia Dela Walker

Alicia Dela Cruz Walker, 66, of Auxvasse, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at University Hospital. She was born in Manilla, Philippines on November 29, 1952, the daughter of the late Guillermo Dela Cruz and the late Aurora (Torres) Dela Cruz. On June 19, 1977, Alicia was united in marriage to Daryll Walker, who survives her passing. Alicia was a born caregiver. She took great pride and joy in caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and had a special way of making people laugh and smile. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband, Daryll; children, James Walker of Fulton, Angela Grohs (Matthew) of Fulton, Robert Walker of Auxvasse, Crystal Baumgartner of Auxvasse, and Nicholas Walker of Fulton; several siblings in the Philippines; sister, Cecilia Cartago (Pete) of Fairfield, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Zachary Walker, Lauren Walker, Anthony Grohs, Aurora Baumgartner, Makenna Walker, George Baumgartner, Evangeline Walker, and Everly Walker; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with son-in-law, Matthew Grohs officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
