Steven Wayne Joyner

Steven Wayne Joyner, 55, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019. He was born in Ventura, California on October 31, 1963, the son of the late Wilton Daniel Joyner and Faith A. "Joy" (Dorrance) Laughlin. On July 4, 1987, Steven was united in marriage to Donna (Sisco) Joyner. She survives his passing. Steven liked to play guitar and was known as a great cook. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, floating, riding his motorcycle, and four-wheeling in his wife's Jeep. His 1990 Chevrolet Camaro RS, the only car he ever purchased brand new, was his pride and joy. He was a patient man and excellent teacher who enjoyed teaching others about things he was passionate about. Steven was also an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his dog, Allie, and cat, Alex. Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife of 32 years; mother, Joy Laughlin of Mokane; son, Laramie Wade Johnson (Elizabeth "Betsy" DeSalvo) of Center Ridge, Ark.; daughter, Melissa Susan Yarbro (Paul) of Fulton; brothers, Ronald Joyner of Mokane and Robin Joyner (Tamie) of Calif.; sister, Susan Atterberry (David) of Calwood; step-brothers, Bud Laughlin (Carol) of Calif., Ronnie Laughlin-Towne (Diane) of New Bloomfield, and Troy Laughlin (Diana) of Calif.; step-sisters, Carol Feaster of Mokane, Linda Laughlin of Fulton, Barb Laughlin of Fulton, and Terri Doty (Pat) of Fulton; grandchildren, Steven Lane Tyler Johnson, Andrea Machell Johnson, Hannah Gaddy, Ryan Gaddy, Chloe DeSalvo, Samantha Nicole Adair, Brandon Hopie Salmons, Dominic Yarbro, and Natosha Yarbro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Steven was preceded in death by brother, Rick Joyner; and step-father, Samuel Laughlin. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
