Emanuel Bud Taylor

Emanuel (Bud) Taylor Jr. died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from a hard fought battle with cancer. Bud was born in St. Louis, Mo., moved to Kingdom City in his late twenties where he built a house, with the help of his boys, and made it the family home for the rest of his life. His greatest joy was to spend time camping and canoeing with his family. When he wasn't on a river you could find Bud tinkering on his property with a Stag beer in hand. In recent years he spent time gardening and was a member of the Callaway County Master Gardeners. Bud is survived by his wife of 26 years, Anne, who loves the river as much as he did; his sons, Buddy (Sarah) Taylor, Shane (Liz) Manning, Michael Manning; and brother, Eugene (Kim) Taylor. Bud also has seven grandchildren: Wyatt, Laney, Alyssa, Lexis, Kyleigh, Jacob and Josh. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Joan and Loftus England. Just as Bud was in life, he was just as particular about his death. As such, there will be a joyous celebration of life on Saturday, June 29 on the river (because where else) in Owensville. If you were a friend of Bud's please contact the family for more information about the party.
