Patsy Ray Rogers, 81, of Mokane, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019. She was born April 17, 1938 in Fulton, Missouri, the daughter of Richard (Ray) Taylor and Orlue Smart Taylor. She was the oldest of their five children. In 1955, she was united in marriage to Buddy Joe Rogers, and together they had eight children: Desra, Gwen, Kenny, Bryan, Ryan, Danny, Mark and Erin. She attended Mokane High School. Patsy worked for both the Steedman and Callaway Bank for many years, at the Steedman and Mokane facilitates, until retirement. She was a member of the Mokane Christian Church, past member of the Blue Creek Mountaineer Gun Club and past Project Leader of the Mokane Merry Makers 4-H Club. Patsy was an excellent seamstress and cook. She enjoyed reading, historical facts, watching old TV westerns and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Bud Rogers of Mokane, Mo.; sons, Kenny Rogers, Bryan Rogers, Ryan Rogers and wife Michelle, and Mark Rogers and wife Cynthia; daughters, Desra Hockemeyer and husband Rick, Gwen Payne and husband Del, and Erin Howard and husband Tom, all of Callaway County; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Taylor and Donnie Taylor (Gloria); several brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Rogers; brothers, Bob and Andy Taylor; and infant grandson, Robert Dean Rogers. Funerals services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Eric Holmes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mokane Cemetery.
