Richard E. "Dick" Jones, 88, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Lenior Woods in Columbia. He was born in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on September 6, 1930, the son of the late Walter H. Jones and the late Vioda M. (Bachelor) Jones. On May 16, 1953, Dick was united in marriage to Mable Ann (Darsey) Jones. She preceded him in death on November 27, 2018. Dick retired from The United States Army Air Defense as a Chief Warrant Officer IV following 30 years of service. He enjoyed traveling with Ann, gardening, and playing the harmonica. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Dick's memory will be cherished by daughter, Teresa "Terry" Campbell and her husband Darrell of Fulton; brothers, Bob Jones, Virgil Jones (Harriett), John Jones (Gig), Ron Jones (Susan), and Gary Jones (Deborah); sisters, Dee Hudson (Jim), and Bonnie Jones; grandson, Colin Campbell (Danielle); granddaughter, Morgan Campbell (Erin); and great-grandsons, Owen and Bryce Campbell. In additional to his parents and wife, Dick was preceded in death by brother, Hershel Jones. It was Dick's wish to be cremated with no public service held.
