Allen Albert Durr, 72, of Auxvasse, left this worldly life for another on Sunday, July 28, 2019 after a long battle with cancer and other health issues. Allen was born on May 3, 1947 in Kokomo, Indiana to Wilford and Carolyn Peck Durr. He was married on October 22, 1989 to Marsha Jean Jones. Allen helped in providing communication services in the Vietnam War and was a retired electrician at Union Electric Nuclear Plant. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with his special "buddy", Joe Coffelt. Surviving his passing is his wife of 30 years, Marsha Jones-Atterberry-Durr of Auxvasse and Kim Wood (ex-wife/friend) of 18 years, of Columbia, Missouri. He will be deeply missed by his children, Paul (Kayln) Durr of Grinnell, Iowa, Melanie Brandenburg of Greentown, Indiana, and Ashley (Will Owens) Durr of Fulton. He was a beloved step-father to Crystal Atterberry of Fulton and Richard (Jessie) Atterberry-Larot of Santee, California. He left behind six grandchildren, Malia, Sienna, Matayas Durr, Sarah (Jonathan) Jensen, Athena Owens and Pandora Walker. Also surviving are two aunts, Julia Eaton of Indianapolis, Indiana and Norma Jean (Charles) Spangler of Kokomo, Indiana; several cousins; brother-in-law, Robert (Mary) W. Jones and sister-in-law, Belinda (Kenny) Baise, all of Millersburg, Missouri and their families. He is joining his parents, Wilford and Carolyn Durr; step-father, Roy Crume; and two siblings, Janet and Denis. Allen personal wishes were for cremation and his family has chosen to have a gathering for family and friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association, both in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
