Mark Joseph Beckemeyer

Mark Joseph Beckemeyer, 56, of Steedman, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019, at his home. Mark was born on September 4, 1962 in Breese, Illinois to Roy and Pat Means Beckemeyer. He was married to the love of his life, Virginia New, on October 21, 1989 in Wichita, and she preceded him in death in 2018. Mark served his country in the United States Army as a Medic from 1981 until his discharge in 1984. He worked for the State of Missouri Department of Corrections until his retirement in 2018. He had a love for photography, poetry, painting and art and while working for the State of Missouri he was honored for his work with graphic imaging. Mark is survived by one daughter, Regan (Jesse) Albright of Princeton, Wisconsin; one son, Jerry (Davianne) Peterson of Jefferson City, Missouri; his parents, Roy and Pat Beckemeyer of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Lori (Chris) Honas of Wichita, Kansas; six grandchildren, Jasmine Jennings, Emily and Khloe Peterson, Raven and Rylee Oldham and Jesse Albright; along with one great-granddaughter, Addy Jennings. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. The family will receive guests from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
