Elizabeth Jewell Raines

Elizabeth Jewell "Betty" Raines, 88, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. She was born on May 31, 1931, in Fulton, the daughter of the late Kenneth Wickell and the late Geneva (Maupin) Wickell. On January 12, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to Billy Dean Raines. He survives her passing. Betty was gifted with a green thumb and was an avid gardener. She was also a talented musician who could sing beautifully and play piano. Betty was a woman of great faith and had an active church life. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband of 71 years; son, Steve Raines and his wife Annette; daughter, Deborah Raines and her husband Bill Boyson; sister, Doris Stoner and her husband Gary; grandsons, Nick Raines and his wife Reba, Matthew Heitner and his wife Heather, and Jesse Heitner; and great-granddaughter, Miranda Raines. Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by infant sister, Dorothy Ann Wickell. Private family services will be held at a later date.
