Harold A. Spencer, age 71, of Gulfport, Miss., passed away December 15, 2018. Being a native of Missouri, he graduated in 1966, from Liberal High School in Kansas. Harold retired after 22 years from the US Navy, receiving a number of accommodations such as, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, 2nd Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea) and Meritorius Unit Commendation Ribbon. He then worked and retired from State of Missouri Corrections Office (FRDC). He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and hunting. Harold was a member of Patriot Guard and a lifetime member of VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren Wayne Spencer and Norma Frances Sneed Spencer. Harold is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wanda Dye Spencer; his children, Deborah (Michael) Barton of Kansas City, Mo. and Matthew (Gina) Spencer of Springfield, Ill.; his siblings, John (Delores) Spencer of Odessa, Texas, Linda Dietzel of Columbia, Mo., George Spencer of Suisun City, Calif., Kathy (Robert) Hamilton of Millersburg, Mo. and Robert (Barbara) Spencer of Lancaster, S.C.; his grandchildren, Jordyn Minor (Tyler J. Priess) of Mokane, Mo. and Katherine Barton of Kansas City, Mo.; his great-grandchildren, Kaden Spencer and Chase Spencer, both of Mokane, Mo. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2019. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, served the family.
