June Marie Atkinson

June Marie Atkinson, 87, of Kingdom City, was called to her Heavenly home on Friday, February 15, 2019. She was born in Callaway County on June 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Eagan Willing and the late Elsie (Beyersdorff) Willing. June married Raymond Atkinson on August 24, 1963. He preceded her in death. June took great pleasure in caring for her family and farming alongside her husband. She was a member of Richland Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery. June was also a member of the McCredie Community Club. Those remaining to cherish her memory include sons, Floyd L. Love (Robin Rees-Love) of Kingdom City, and Robert Mark Love (Cathy) of Kingdom City; daughter, Debbie McDonald (Curt) of Williamsburg; stepsons, Terry Atkinson of Kingdom City, Fred Atkinson (Susan) of Kingdom City, and Sam Atkinson (Donna) of Columbia; step-daughters, Judy Atkinson Borman (Harlan) of Kingdom, and Cindy Atkinson Durst (Dr. David) of Alabama; sisters, Patsie Pierceall; four grandchildren, Clint, Chris, and Chuck McDonald, and Bradley Love; step-grandchildren, Joe and Kris Wieschhaus, and Melissa Appling; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kayla and Oliver McDonald; and great-great-grandchild, Reiley McDonald. Along with her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Gibbs, and Elvie Pierceall; and great-grandson, Alexander S. McDonald. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019, at Richland Baptist Church in Kingdom City with Pastor Nick Drake officiating. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Richland Cemetery.
