Alice Marie Houf

Alice Marie Houf, 88, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at Boone Hospital Center. She was born in Perry, Missouri on January 22, 1931, the daughter of the late Francis Travis Pollard and the late Mary Gertrude (Utterback) Pollard. On March 11, 1951, Alice was united in marriage to Jimmie Wayne Houf who survives her passing. Alice was an active participant of Hams Prairie Christian Church. She retired from Ovid Bell Press in 1995. She was an avid bowler for more than 50 years. Alice also enjoyed playing cards, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and eating pizza and Jelly Bellys. She loved her shoes. More than anything, Alice treasured time spent with her family. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband of 68 years; daughter, Kathie Smith (Lee) of Fulton; sons, Kenneth Houf (Becky) of Fulton, and Keith Houf (Angela) of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Nancy Miller of Mexico; grandchildren, Michelle Lallier (Jason), Christopher Smith (Amanda), and Kara Rhoades (Johnny), all of Fulton, John Houf of Fernandina Beach, Fla., David Houf of Wentzville, and Kaylee Houf of Lebanon; great-grandchildren, Braden, Jacob and Rhyannon Lallier of Fulton, Rashael Smith of Columbia, Brendan Smith of Fulton, and Kiley, Madison, and Kinslee Rhoades of Fulton, Clark Houf of Jacksonville, Fla.; and great-great-grandchildren Kaylee Farris. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by brother, Clifford Travis Pollard. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Cody Allen officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
