Dow Ollar, 87, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Boone Hospital Center. He was born in Alton, Missouri on April 16, 1932, the son of the late Wright Ollar and the late Estella (Blankenship) Ollar. On April 2, 1955, Dow was united in marriage to Dwilla (Anderson) Ollar. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2017. Dow and Dwilla worked side-by-side for 26 years as owners and operators of East End Market. He later worked in the meat department at Moser's. Dow enjoyed attending Callaway Christian Church each week. He could often be found sitting in his swing in the front yard. Dow's pride and joy were his grandsons and great-grandsons and referred to them as "My Boys". He was recently overjoyed to learn a great-granddaughter would be added to his family, the first Ollar girl in more than 30 years. Those remaining to cherish his memory include daughter-in-law, Brenda Ollar of Fulton; grandsons, John Ollar (Alisha) of Fulton, and Joshua Ollar (Taylor) of Fulton; and great-grandchildren, Carson, Kaidance, and Bentley Ollar, and Kynlee who is scheduled to arrive in October. In addition to his parents and wife, Dow was preceded in death by son, Michael Ollar; and brother, Dallas Loren Ollar. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Mark Kummer officiating. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
