Bettie Jean Gilman Gawne

Bettie Jean Gilman Gawne, 89, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jean was born on March 2, 1930, in Fulton to the late Leo and Pauline Peters Chapman.  She had been married to M.E. "Jack" Gilman and later to Bob Gawne and they have both preceded her in death. Jean worked for many years as a homemaker until her daughters were grown. She then began working outside the home at Conner's Circle C Western Store and later as a Nurses Aide at Kingdom Nursing Home and Fulton Manor. She enjoyed going to auctions and working on crossword puzzles but her greatest love was spending time with her family and attending their birthday parties. Jean is survived by three daughters, Beverly (Ron) Lepley of Millersburg, Cheri (Duane) Mahoney of Fulton and Mona Kettle of Fulton; grandchildren, Kenny (Rachelyn) Trimble, Becky (Rick) Hughes, Michael (Sarah) Anderson and Jennifer Kettle; step-grandchildren, Angie (Tom) Beam, Melody Lepley and Nikki (Bob) Ryan; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Chapman and several nieces and great-nieces. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Chapman. Memorial services will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Williamson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
