Lillian Frances (Eldringhoff) Gloe, 91, of Hermann, Mo., passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge. Lillian was born in Americus, Mo. on October 21, 1927, a daughter of the late Frederick and Alida (Buecker) Eldringhoff. She was the widow of Victor Martin Gloe. They were united in marriage on April 15, 1948, at St. Martin's Church, Starkenburg. Victor preceded her in death on August 11, 2009. Lillian was a member of Church of the Risen Savior, Rhineland, where she was a member of St. Ann's Ladies Sodality. She was a wife, mother, quilter, 4-H Leader and tole painter. She took pride in her almost 600 restorations of trunks. Lillian is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Crow of Hillsboro, Mo.; a daughter, Joyce Arnold and husband Jim of Steedman, Mo.; a son, Jim Gloe and wife Geralyn of Hams Prairie, Mo.; a son, John Gloe and wife Judy of Lenexa, Kan.; 11 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter who died in infancy, Joanne Marie Gloe; brothers, Vincent and Leonard Eldringhoff, and Ludger who died in infancy; and sisters, Marie Lauer, Theoda Pohlmann, Alma Rose Heying, Geraldine Monnig, and Modesta Overkamp. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Valentine Hall, Starkenburg, Mo. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Church, Starkenburg, with Father David Means officiating. Burial will be at St. Martin's Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Martin's Restoration Fund, c/o Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
