Sandra Lucille Hudgens, 54, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri. Sandra was born on March 17, 1964 in Romney,West, Virginia to the late Eldon and Jean Kidwell Shipman. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1982. Sandra worked for several years at Florida School for the Deaf before moving back to Fulton where she worked as a Dorm Supervisor at Missouri School for the Deaf until her retirement. Her grandparents and parents attended and worked at Missouri School for the Deaf and Sandra was always very proud of her family's history at the school. Sandra loved spending time at the ocean and she owned many dolphin statues. She enjoyed all types of crafting and requested that the crafts she collected be donated to Missouri School for the Deaf. She is survived by her son, Shelby Hudgens of Fulton; one niece, Summer Hughes, Kokomo, Indiana; and her very special friend, Meddra Love of Fulton. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lee Jeffries; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Ivy Shipman; and maternal grandparents, Edna and Grover Kidwell. A Candlelight Vigil will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Missouri School for the Deaf football field at 505 E. Fifth Street in Fulton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Missouri School for the Deaf Children's Welfare Fund, 505 E. Fifth Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
