George Floyd Winingear Jr., 88, of Fulton, passed away at Valley Park North on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He was born in Parsons, Kansas on January 13, 1930, the son of the late George Floyd Winingear and the late Pearl (Bridges) Winingear. Floyd was married to Lois Jean Winingear from 1950 until her passing in 2000. He was later married to Dorothy Reifsteck Winingear who survives his passing. Floyd worked at Harbison Walker for 42 years, retiring as a supervisor. He was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church. A civically minded citizen, he served on Fulton City Council. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and making furniture, hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Dorothy of Fulton; son, Brent Winingear of Fulton; daughters, Pat Grubb (Dan) of Fulton, and Ann Richardson (Ted) of St. Louis; step-son, Bill Reifsteck of Branson; step-daughters, Linda Brooks (Bill) of Auxvasse, and Glenna Burre (George) of Tebbetts; brother, Curtis Winingear (Marie J.) of Fulton; grandchildren, Max, Ellie, Libby (Loren), Cody, Ryan, and Abbie; step-grandchildren, Lisa Kee (Doug), Scott Brooks (Terri), Web Brooks, and Shanna Marshall (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Zoey Hrabovsky, Sam Hrabovsky, Izzie Hrabovsky, Cooper Hrabovsky; step-great-grandchildren, Zak Kee, Jacob Kee, Chance Kee, Austin Atterberry Brooks, and Lauren Quinn: step-great-great-grandchild, Berkeley Kee. Along with his parents and first wife, Floyd was preceded in death by daughter, Marsha Winingear. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Court Street United Methodist Church with Reverend Rebecca Dunger-Peak officiating. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
