Mark Davis Roland

Mark Davis Roland, 70, of Columbia, was received by the Lord on Friday, September 28, 2018. Mark was born March 3, 1948 in Fulton, the son of Roscoe Davis and Marguerite Elizabeth (Fecht) Roland. Mr. Roland was a top insurance agent at American Family for over 30 years and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. Some of his enjoyments in life included traveling, boating and scuba diving. Mark loved his pets dearly, but above all, he loved his family. Survivors include four children, William Davis (Jennifer) Roland of Columbia, Mark Davis (Jackie) Roland II of Columbia, Derek Andrew (Shannon) Roland of St. Charles and Jessica Elizabeth Roland of Kansas City; six grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas, Zachary, Isabella, Tanner and Eleanor; one great-grandchild, Chase; three sisters, Carol Ann Reifsteck of Mexico, Marsha (Don) Arnett of Auxvasse and Linda DeVry of Kansas City. Mark was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Mexico. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Brendan Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico with a Prayer Service to follow at 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Central Missouri Humane Society.
