Keith Eugene Butcher

Keith Eugene Butcher, 74, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at his home. Keith was born October 9, 1943, the son of the late Roy Butcher and Ruby Salmons. He was married on September 4, 1986 in Fulton to Hazel Butcher, who preceded him in death in 2017. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era and he maintained a lifelong friendship with Army members, James Starling, Donald Crooks, Boyd Cox and Charlie Stewart. Keith retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier and he loved spending time with his family, farming and remodeling classic cars. He is survived by two sisters, Patsy (Marion) Burke of Fulton and Donna (Billy) Hughes of Fulton; one brother, William "Billy" (Susie) Butcher of Fulton; five daughters and one son, Kimberly D. (Robert) Slote of Fulton, Keith A. (Melissa) Butcher of Steedman, Anita J. (John) Ford of Kansas, Sonia L. Allen of Fulton, Rebecca J. (David) Boston of Fulton and Tiffany M. (Matthew) Roderick of Fulton; 14 grandchildren, Gregory T. Martin and Charles M. Martin of Auxvasse, Timothy C. Martin and Levi R. Allen of Colorado, Maria L. Buckner, Amber L. Salcedo, Tyler R. Boston, Roy Lee Travis and Jackson B. Roderick, all of Fulton, DJ Boston of Mexico, Danny Slote of Eugene, Kaitlin Stanton of Battlefield, Shona Ford of Kansas, Deven Butcher of Steedman; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. Keith was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tabatha A. Young; two grandsons, Ryan L. Young and Dakota W. Boston; and one great-grandchild, Aiden M. Irvin. Funeral services will be held at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
