Sharon Kay (Katybug) Baysinger, 67, of New Bloomfield, Mo., passed away Thursday, November 8,2018, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, surrounded by family and friends. Sharon Kay was born Aug. 28, 1951, in Fulton, Mo., to John and Margaret White of New Bloomfield, Mo. Katybug as she was affectionately known by friends and family adored her family and her dog Roscoe. She had many friends who enjoyed her smiles, laughter and great sense of humor. She loved Elvis and she collected owls. She was especially fond of her life long friend and "sister" Debbie Coots. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and giving her dog Roscoe rides around the house on her scooter. She enjoyed the great friends and get-togethers of the "Osage River" folks. While living there, she loved the freedom of riding her golf cart from house to house, just visiting and all the drop-in visitors from the people living on the river road, she loved being around people in general. She enjoyed her cell phone and social media because it kept her in touch with family and friends daily, her absence will forever be felt by friends and family. She always had a smile on her face and a great attitude towards the lighter side of life. She was preceded in death by her father, John Wesley White; husband, William Baysinger; daughter, Lisa Lynn Nichols; and grandson, Nicholas Gordon Mobley. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Ann White of New Bloomfield, Mo.; four sisters: Judy Goetz (Bob) of Columbia, Mo., Linda Brandt (Lonnie) of Holts Summit, Mo., Rhonda Strickland (Gail) of Fulton, Mo., Debbie Coots (daughter number five) of New Bloomfield, Mo.; two children: John Edward Nichols (Margaret) of Columbia, Mo. and Marsha Ann Nichols of Jefferson City, Mo.; four grandchildren and six great- grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. A Celebration of Life will be held in August, 2019, around the time of Sharon Kay's Birthday in lieu of visitation and funeral services. Family and friends will be notified of the place and time closer to the celebration date.
