Harriett Rumbaugh

Harriett Rumbaugh, 100, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Schuyler, Nebraska on September 7, 1917, the daughter of the late John Gumm and the late Gertrude (Gless) Gumm. Harriett was married to Luther J. Rumbaugh in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1999. Harriett retired from Fulton State Hospital in 1978 where she worked for many years as a Psychiatric Aide. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Harriett enjoyed her family and grandchildren immensely. Survivors include five children, Duane Rumbaugh (Marty) of Auxvasse, Mavis Jeanne Squire of Moberly, Winnie Kemp (Carl) of Tebbetts, Jeffrey Rumbaugh (Connie) of Moberly, and Matthew Rumbaugh of Camdenton; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Harriett was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Albert Gumm; sisters, Zetta Wood and Henrietta Denman; and grandchild, Kelly Dye. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Callaway Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
