Alexander Scott McDonald, 21, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. He was born on August 14, 1996, in Fulton, the son of Clint McDonald and Heather (Bates) McDonald. Alex loved fishing, bonfires, friends, family, his dogs and working with his uncle doing salvage work. He loved to tear things apart, even as a child. He always had a smile on his face and was ready to crack a joke, talk your ear off, or be there to listen and console you if you needed it. He had the biggest heart and most caring personality. Alex was always ready to give his shirt, shoes or last dollar to anyone who needed it. He was a friend to many more than he even realized. Alex was a member of Hams Prairie Christian Church. For two years, Alex was involved with Job Corp in Puxico, Missouri where he was educated in industrial painting and acquired other trade skills. Alex's loss will be deeply felt by his parents, Clint and Heather McDonald of Mokane; sister, Kaitlyn L. McDonald and her daughter, Reiley McDonald of Mokane; grandparents, Curt and Debbie McDonald of Williamsburg, and Bob and Jill Bates of Steedman; great-grandparents, June Atkinson of Kingdom City, and Peggy Johnson of Mexico; aunts and uncles, Chris and Amber McDonald of Williamsburg, Chuck McDonald of Williamsburg, and Travis Bates of Steedman; great-aunts and uncles, Bill and Kay Bates of Auxvasse, and Rob and Jackie Robinson of Mexico; and cousins, Davin Bates of Steedman, and Kayla McDonald and Oliver McDonald of Williamsburg. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Hams Prairie Christian Church with Pastor Don Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the church. Please take a page out of Alex's book and dress casually. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hams Prairie Christian Church Youth Group, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
