Gerald Dean Lamons, 79 years old, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. His final resting place will be at the Prairie Chapel Cemetery. He was born April 1, 1939 in West Plains, Missouri to Ted and Reba Graves Lamons, who preceded him in death. He was married to Mary Ann Fink on November 21, 1959 in Fulton and she survives. Dean often told his children "We are put on this Earth to help others". Farming, gardening, fishing, hunting and especially his family and grandchildren brought him great joy. He is also survived by his children, Kenny (Cynthia) Lamons, Tim (Kathy) Lamons, Marcia (Joe) Lamons, Sharon (John) Blakely, David (Dana) Lamons and Dennis (Jen) Lamons; nine grandchildren; seven great-grand-children; siblings, John "Red" (Cathy) King, TJ (Karen) Lamons, Joyce (Jim) Davidson, Sue (Emmitt) Miller, Bonnie (Ronnie) Schroer, Patsy (Mark) Maness and in-laws, Rose Vandeloecht, Pat Anderson, Joyce (Tom) Vandelicht, Sonny (Kay) Fink, Barb (Kenny) Middaugh, Terry (Leslie) Loyd and Mike Fink. Dean was also preceded in death by one brother, Murrell Lamons. A Celebration of Life BBQ will be provided at Millersburg Lions Club on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 3-7:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mike Crowson.
