Kelly Denise (Veit) Dye

Kelly Denise (Veit) Dye, age 53, of New Bloomfield, Mo., passed in peace Wednesday, April 27, 2018. Kelly was a Callawegian through and through, graduating from New Bloomfield High School and living in Callaway County most of her life. She worked as an office manager at RE/MAX in Jefferson City, Mo. for several years, most recently she was a fabricator at AZZ in New Bloomfield. She was diagnosed with lung cancer last fall and fought cancer with a strength and peace that comes from a life of Christ. She never gave up and kept positive. Her greatest achievement was being a mother to Nick Dye and grandmother to Kately Ann Wilson and Wesley James Wilson. She was an avid crocheter, practicing her skill for over 42 years. Most everyone she knows has an afghan, rug or hat that she has crafted for them. She loved a road trip to visit family and friends. She was always ready to go to a garage sale, or visit a friend over a good meal or to play a game of cards. She leaves behind many aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews; her sister, Vanessa Veit; and brother, Billy Veit. She is greatly missed. Family and friends are warmly welcomed to participate in a celebration of her life later this summer.
