Helen Teel

Helen Teel, 89, of Fulton, was called to her Heavenly home on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. She was born on July 19, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Leland Breid and the late Francis (Bodkin) Breid. On September 22, 1947, Helen married Delbert J. Teel. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2006. Helen was a woman of God and a member of Central Christian Church. For many years, she worked as a teller at First Bank. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting. Helen and Delbert shared a passion for horseback and trail riding. Family was the center of Helen's life; she treasured time spent with them, especially her grandchildren. Those remaining to cherish her memory include sons, Thomas Teel (Robin) of Fulton, Richard Teel (Pam) of Fulton, and Gary Teel (Robin) of Fulton; sister, Thelma Turley of Fulton; five grandchildren, Amanda Teel, Taylor Teel, Haley Teel, Dakota Teel, and Andrew Teel; and eight great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by brother, James Breid; sisters, Gloria Fitzpatrick, Patricia Bentley, Mary McMame, and Billie Jean Gehrig. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
