Guy Elwin Cundiff

Guy Elwin Cundiff, 83, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Missouri Veteran's Home in Mexico. He was born on January 20, 1935 in Callaway County, Missouri, the son of the late Frank Cundiff and the late Ethel (Gentry) Cundiff. On January 18, 1958, Guy was united in marriage to Yvonne Cundiff. She survives his passing. Guy proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1953 until 1957, where he served on the USS North Hampton in the Mediterranean Cruise. He continued his service in the Reserves until 1961. He earned his living as a Power Plant Operator for the City of Fulton and retired from Callaway Electric Cooperative. Guy enjoyed working on and showing his International Tractors. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; sons, Alvin Cundiff (Kathy) of Fulton and Gary Cundiff (Rhonda) of Fulton; grandsons, Ryan Cundiff (Amanda) of Auxvasse, Chase Cundiff (Tracy) of Fulton, Chad Cundiff of Maine, and Grant Cundiff (Kayla Duncan) of Republic; granddaughters, Ashley Giboney (Jeremy) of Fulton, and Hannah Cundiff of Fulton; great-grandchildren, Evan and Allison Cundiff, Jeremiah and Aliviah Giboney, and Chloe Cundiff and Carter Cundiff to be born in August; niece, Kathy Garrett; and nephews, Ricky and Timothy Cundiff. Along with his parents, Guy was preceded in death by son, Larry Cundiff; and brothers, Chester, Pearl James, Dale, and Earl Cundiff. Private graveside services will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Fulton.
