Herbert "Gale" Branch, 72, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at home among family. Gale was born on December 8, 1945 in Fulton, Mo., the son of Ralph and Auline (Underwood) Branch, who preceded him in death. He was married on June 1, 1974 in New York to Diane Corvino, who survives at the home. He worked for the City of Fulton Street Department for several years, then began working construction with his uncle, Felix Doerhoff. Gale started working at the Fulton Housing Authority on March 1, 1977 and stayed there until his retirement in 2017. He volunteered his services for several years with Habitat for Humanity. He never knew a stranger. He made friends wherever he went. He was a wonderful father and taught the kids many life skills. He embraced the time with his grandchildren. He thought of them as a blessing. At work, he treated everyone with respect. He was a great humanitarian, husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed. He is also survived by three children, Melanie (Branch) Benn (Scott) of Fulton, Mo., Tommy Branch Sr. of New Bloomfield, Mo. and Christopher Branch of Fulton, Mo.; grandchildren, Richie Roney, Isabella Benn, TJ Branch Jr, Makenna Branch, Adrianna Branch and Julianna Branch; one sister, Vanessa Barrett (John) of Fulton, Mo.; and one brother, Dwayne Braden of Fulton, Mo. Gale was also preceded in death by his step-father, Charles W. Harris. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, Mo. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the funeral home.
