James Lee Dudley, 77, of Fulton, passed away on Friday January 12, 2018, in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on March 30, 1940, to Reed Dudley and Mary Charolette (Hutchens) Dudley of Calwood, Missouri. James was married to Gloria Jean Smith on March 30, 1968. She survives his passing. James served in the Air Force for 4 years and was honorably discharged. He was employed by Sears for 30 years, followed by Fulton State Hospital for 8 years. James was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 12, 1974, and was a member of the Fulton congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since that time. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, and target shooting. He also enjoyed talking to others about the hope of God's Kingdom where pain, sickness, and death will be no more. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Dudley; son, James Lee Dudley Jr. of Calwood; two grandchildren, Rachel and Hunter Dudley of Fulton; brother, Charles Dudley of Broussard, La.; and countless nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. James was predeceased by his parents; son, Otho Reed Dudley; and brother, Donald Dudley. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, at 1600 Rice Road, Fulton, MO, on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Mark Schaefferkoetter officiating.
