Robert A. Douglas, 76, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. He was born on April 26, 1941, in Fulton, Missouri, the son of the late Fred Douglas and the late Mable (Sheets) Johnson. Robert worked as an Aide for Fulton State Hospital. He lived life on his terms and enjoyed having a good time and spending time with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies included fishing and bicycles. Robert was well known for riding his bike around town and taking off to Columbia to visit his family. Those remaining to cherish his memory include sister, Darlene Douglass of Fulton; nephews, Nate and Ross Mills; nieces, Wendy Douglas of Richmond, Va., Charnette Garner of Indianapolis, Ind., and Brenetta Douglass of Fulton; and several great- nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by infant son, Freddie; and sisters, Bernice Sexton, Stella Margert, and Gladys Jones. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Southside Cemetery with Reverend Melvin McCaleb officiating.
