Delores Mae Payne, 81, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at her home. Delores was born April 2, 1936 in Mexico, Missouri to James Travis and Mildred Garrett, who preceded her in death. She was married to Billie Payne on January 22, 1955 in Fulton and he preceded her in death in 2010. Delores liked to bowl and she was a member of the Fulton Bowling Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino, but her greatest love was watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. She graduated from Fulton High School and had worked for 26 years at the Fulton State Hospital where she was a secretary and transcriptionist for the doctors. Delores is survived by daughters, Paula Payne and Deborah Payne; granddaughter, Stephanie Hays and great-grandchildren, Ivy Jayde Hays, Darren Andrew Hays and Wyatt Moreland. She was also preceded in death by sons, Terry Payne and Darren Payne; and daughter, Cheri Payne. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Mike Crowson, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton. The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus of Columbia, Missouri, in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
