Marjorie B. Sparks, 93, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Presbyterian Manor. She was born on July 29, 1924, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late George Francis Bruto and the late Nora (Landrum) Bruto. On May 28, 1945, Marjorie was united in marriage to Samuel "Bud" Sparks. He preceded her in death. Marjorie was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School Class of 1943. She was employed by T. J. Neukomm where she worked as Office Manager and handled bookkeeping and agent responsibilities. For many years, she was a league bowler and made a big 4 split. She was a member of American Business Women's Association and Callaway Hospital Auxiliary. Marjorie loved to entertain her family and friends and play cards. Those remaining to mourn her passing include: sister-in-law, Margaret Jones (Dorris) of Fulton; nieces and nephews, Brenda Maddox (Bruce) of New Bloomfield, Mo., Elaine Jurgensmeyer (Bill) of Jefferson City, Beverly Baker (Ray) of Atwater, Calif., Glenda Clyman (David) of Nevada, Mo., Janice Boyce Ryberg of Athens, Tenn., George Bruto III (Patti) of Adrian, Mo., Dale Bruto (Sherry) of Gladstone, Mo., and Kevin Bruto (Stephanie) of Joplin, Mo.; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by brother, George Bruto Jr.; sister, Julianne Kehr; niece, Betty Yancey; and nephew, Larry Jones. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
