Elsie Louise Carrington, 92, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Fulton Presbyterian Manor. She was born on January 24, 1926 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of the late Henry and Minnie (Peetz) Koechig. On June 10, 1951, Elsie was united in marriage to Joe Donald Carrington, who survives her passing at Presbyterian Manor. Mrs. Carrington was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau, earning a degree in Business Education. She taught Business Education at Fulton High School for 34 years. She was featured in "Who's Who in Missouri Education" in 1975. She was a member of the Missouri State Teacher's Association and First Christian Church of Fulton. Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband of 66 years; son, Nathan D. Carrington (Pat) of St. Peters; grandchildren, Beth Burnes (Taft) and Jimmy Carrington (Amberly), all of Kansas City; great-grandson, Lachlan Burnes; and sisters, Della Kramme of Arnold and Meta Siemers of Cape Girardeau. Those preceding her in death include her parents and one brother, Marvin Koechig. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens.
